Who Should Attend

This course is for current healthcare providers with an active/current ACLS Provider card based in a practice setting that requires ACLS knowledge and skills as a condition of employment. This includes nurses, nursing students, physicians, medical students, residents, pharmacists, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and any other healthcare professional who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency. This course is a RENWAL ONLY. First time or expired students must take the ACLS INITIAL Course. 

 

Course Overview

This AHA ACLS Provider course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills required to implement the latest American Heart Association’s ACLS treatments in accordance to the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. We provide a unique hands-on form of training that helps the students practice and prepare to improve the outcomes for adult patients in cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

 

This advanced renewal course covers:

  • Basic life support and CPR for adult victims 
  • Advance airway management
  • Recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest 
  • Immediate post-cardiac arrest care 
  • Recognition and intervention of cardiac arrhythmias
  • Stroke 
  • Acute coronary syndromes (ACS) 
  • Systems of care 
  • The importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication 

We provide a unique hands-on form of training with a one to one student-mannequin ratio ensuring effective learning and ample retention.

It is required by the AHA for students to have access to the 2020 ACLS Provider Manual before, during, and after the class. If you do not have access to the manual go to https://shopcpr.heart.org/ to purchase We can include your BLS Certification together with your ACLS Course. Select "Yes" if you wish to do so. Adding BLS may add up to an additional 2 hours to your class time.

All Instructor-led provider courses are subject to cancellations the day before the scheduled course, if there are less than five students registered. Those students that are registered will be given the option to complete the course in a blended format instead. Student is responsible for paying the difference for the blended option.
